Call all pasta lovers! This summer, we are looking for the Chief Pasta Officer!

We are recruiting! We want to fill the role of our Chief Pasta Officer (CPO) and your love of pasta comes in handy when you rigorously test our pasta recipes to make it better. Find the application below!

Now, before you dismiss this opportunity, thinking you need to be a professional chef, think about it again! We are looking for someone who just loves preparing and eating pasta. Whether you like to perfect the classic spaghetti and meatballs, try homemade pasta, or just admire a bowl of good-quality flat glucose Alfredo, this is the perfect thing for you. You don’t need any formal training – just a passion for pasta and a willingness to taste, test and share your ideas.

Why do you need pasta?

Last April, we called the dessert recipe tester and it was going well! We love it, and our home cook community loves it so much that we want to do it again. But, this time the focus is on pasta! Pasta is one of the most popular foods out there. From the battle between the ancient red sauce and the white sauce to the shape of the pasta itself, everyone has their own preferred choice.

We love the pasta here and are curious whether some pasta are more popular in different parts of the country? So we tested this, but I was still fascinated by what we found. How do you think that our findings match your thoughts on the most relevant pasta recipes to the state and what you think?

We have taken a step further and investigated the pasta shapes that 1,000 Americans liked, and sparked some wild debate (our team is still debating this debate!). Look at yourself! I still overcome Orzo being one of my least favorite pasta shapes! If this makes you boil like me, I bet you are perfect for our CPO location (app below).

The most popular pasta shapes in the United States are:

1. Pasta (26%)
2. Penne (25%)
3. Fetticune (15%)
4. Elbow (14%)
5. Bowties (14%)

According to our respondents The least favorite The pasta shape is Orzo and Angel hair, and 18% of them think it is the least favorite shape.

Regarding seasonings, 71% of Americans say red sauce is the top choice for pasta, which is particularly interesting because the Alfredo recipes generate the most unique searches nationwide. This suggests that while red sauce is still the go-to choice for most people, people may be more curious or less familiar with making white pickles dishes like Alfredo.

If you’re like me and find everyone interesting, I bet you’re perfect for CPO recipe tester location. Are you passionate about pasta? Do your favorite pasta or recipes not make the cut on it? Well, now you have the opportunity to comment on some key pasta recipes about inspirational flavors!

What we’re looking for:

• Must have love for pasta!
• We are looking for people who love to cook at home. Amateurs and professionals are welcome to apply. No necessary experience!
• Must be available within 2 weeks of June/July to extensively test 3 pasta recipes. (Note: Recipe testing can be performed throughout the whole two weeks, but can be done earlier.)
• Must be able to provide photos and videos of the recipe testing process.
• A basic understanding of social media must be available and freely documenting your pasta making process. While there is no need for social media attention or experience in creating content, it will have a lot of influence in this role!
• Must be a US resident over the age of 18 and legally able to work in the US.
• Must have a stove, pot + pot and basic kitchen utensils. Ingredient allowance will be provided.

Interview + Final Choice:

If selected to move forward, you will be asked to interview with the inspired taste team to evaluate Team Fit + Final availability. If the applicant enters the next stage, the applicant will be notified in early June.

Three chief pasta officials will be selected by June 2025.

The two-week cumulative testing period will be completed throughout June and July, giving you enough flexibility and time to try the recipe. Don’t worry about your schedule being busy; you can do the test during off-duty and weekends.

When you test every pasta recipe, we not only want to hear about your experience…we want to see it in action! You may have to make a recipe multiple times to actually test it, but we can’t wait to see what you think! Your videos and photos will bring these recipes to life and inspire others to join in the pasta making fun! Don’t worry about perfection Authenticity and enthusiasm are the most important. In addition to sharing your content, you can also fill out a recipe feedback form for each dish you tested. Your creativity and insights will help us perfect recipes and make them more delicious with your help!

Some recipes we ask you to test may include our homemade pasta, red pasta sauce, pasta and meatballs, beef meat sauce, Italian meatballs, homemade gnocchi, manicotti, Manicotti, Pista Carbonara or our Fettuccine Alfredo. 2. Recipe testing will be done in your home without traveling.
3. By submitting an application, the applicant will be deemed to have read and accepted these Terms and agreed to be bound by them.
4. Only one application per person is eligible.
5. The entry is only open to U.S. residents, over 18 years of age. Application will be closed Midnight on May 16, 2025.
6. If you have any previously unresolved criminal convictions, you are not eligible to apply.
7. This is a 2-week paid task from Summer 2025. The two weeks accumulated in June 2025 and July 2025, which means they don’t have to be continuous. Recipe testing can be done during regular working hours, weekends, etc.
8. If you choose to conduct the interview process, the applicant will be notified by email. Inspired tastes will not contact you via social media or phone to collect information.
9. If you accept the position, you agree to use any video content shared as part of the testing or application process for marketing purposes to inspire taste. This includes but is not limited to social media, inspired taste websites and news materials.
10. By applying, each applicant’s grant is inspired by a taste of non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, adapt, publish, publish or display (in whole or in part) any non-identified intellectual property contained in the content of its application without royalties, payments or any other compensation.

Data Methods:

Google search volume was collected on April 1, 2025 in all 50 states in the past 12 months. The analysis was then performed to compare state-level searches with state searches to identify the most relevant pasta dish in each state.

We then looked at pasta and seasoning preferences for 1,007 Americans. Since this exploratory study depends on self-reported data, respondents may be biased and there may be differences between the answers.
